WOW !! Awesome paintings. I think procedure adopted may be: first take the photograph with excellent lightings & camera and then start sketching and followed by oil painting viewing the photograph. As it will take long time to complete the painting, not possible to retain the model @ the same position until then. Though, really extraordinary work. Keep it up.
wow ... amazing work, like we have ilayaraja sir for music, we have another ilayaraja for painting. awesome work indeed, when people around are moving towards modern art and surrealistic art, you are keeping this art alive and doing wonders, its soothing to eye and soul, keep going.. i am sure you would get rave acclamation in your work, you would be surely called a boris of india.. keep it up and all the best and god bless. I am thankful to a friend who had accidentally sent a mail attaching few of your painting, i instantly fell in love with it...
Please inform more about the painter who have created such classics. His native, guru, works and pen sketch and photograph, these all we are eager to know.
Hello, I maintain a website called www.scarletcanvas.com and the website features blogs too. Intially we were just a blog and my very first blog was on one of Ilayaraja's paintings that I had found on facebook. At that time I didn't know the artist and one of my blog readers pointed me to the artist and this page. I would like to feature Ilayaraja and his paintings in my website. How can I get in touch with the artist for his permission and details? Thnx. You can find the blog post on Ilayaraja here: http://www.scarletcanvas.com/1/post/2011/04/better-than-mona-lisa.html
Real wonderful! I understand that the route you have taken is probably to take a picture in digital mode and to expand it in oil in leisure.I find the pigeon or fowl is associated with the pictures...does the artist want to convey some thing much more than what is seen. This group of painting is wonderfully refreshing! All the best to him!
Photographs will be taken in a good light and that will just a reference. he takes inspiration of backdrops from different photographs. he doesnt have major models photgraphs and al.. its all his imagination and wat he sees around. he is an amazing man! the magic just comes out of his hands!
I've been always your fan. I've seen your creations in magazines too. You are a genius. Maa Saraswathi sits on your hand when you paint. I have no words other than this.May God bless you. Hemamalini
Dear Mr IllaiyaRaja, Loved your paintings. Beautiful representation of Tamil ladies and life style. Please continue creating more amazing paintings like these.
Mr . Ilayaraja , Its a great work u have done , the very first photo i saw and i became a fan of you . I am a great lover of paintings , every day i come accross paintings , to know abt , But your works are excelent . I can even say your this generation ravivarma. in therms of god photos i hav seen a wonderfull picture of ramar patabishekam llike photos where there wil b more than 100 people in a photo , I request you to do evening wonders like . If it happends, i wil b the first to get the pictures of ur works at any cost . Thanks Mr.ilayaraja for your great works
Superb collection. Amazingly life-like. Captures such beauty and presence of silent scenes in such vibrant colours. Thank God real art still exists!
Your work preserves for posterity these rural settings - utensils, the kitchen-fire,the look of thoughts far way of a new bride etc. We are fast losing these to nostalgic memories of a golden age. Soon we will no longer have these items in real life as we hurdle through this fast churning that we now call modern life.
Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your passion for life in our lives.
Wow!!!i ve been seeing these paintings throughout the day!!too realistic!Wonderful work sir!Are you taking painting classes? If so can u pls tell the details...I love painting..and after seeing ur paintings I dnt feel i ve done justice to watever i ve done so far...can u pls let us know the details? Thanks in advance:)
I started to love paintings after I saw Ilayaraja's paintings in Anandha vikatan....and every woman in his paintings are waiting for something, someone, and it reminds me of mother, sister, and the woman whom I love. Ilayaraja...God has given some extra care for your hands when created you. If I can shake your hands once, I would feel I am gifted.
SIr.... Please enaku mastero illiyaraja sir photova indha mari drawing panni thanga sir... (jagdeesh.designer@gmail.com) please sir its my humble request
